Good Governance, Sustainability & Resilience in Africa (Short Course)

1. Training Introduction

This short course explores the intersection of governance, sustainability, and resilience in African contexts. Participants will examine governance frameworks, sustainable development strategies, and resilience-building approaches to address economic, environmental, and social challenges.

The course emphasizes practical solutions to strengthen institutions, promote ethical leadership, and achieve sustainable and resilient communities across Africa.

The course aims to:

• Strengthen knowledge of governance principles and practices in Africa.
• Equip participants with strategies for sustainable development and resilience building.
• Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership in institutions.
• Enhance capacity to address social, economic, and environmental challenges.
• Foster inclusive decision-making and citizen participation.
• Develop actionable plans for governance reforms and sustainable initiatives.

• Short Course: 5 days (30–35 hours)
• Extended Option: 2 weeks with applied projects (12–15 hours per week)
