  • Sludge thickening, digestion, and dewatering
  • Safe disposal and reuse

Module 6: Equipment and Instrumentation

  • Pumps, valves, mixers, aerators
  • Flow meters, sensors, and SCADA systems

Module 7: Process Monitoring and Control

  • Sampling procedures and field testing
  • Monitoring flow, turbidity, pH, DO, and residuals

Module 8: Laboratory Procedures for Plant Operators

  • Basic lab tests (BOD, COD, TSS, coliforms)
  • Quality assurance and data recording

Module 9: Safety, Health, and Environmental Practices

  • Chemical handling and confined spaces
  • Emergency response and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Module 10: Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Best Practices

  • Local and international standards (e.g., WHO, EPA)
  • Environmental impact and discharge permits

Certified Water and Wastewater Plant Operator (Advanced Track)

Awarded upon:

  • Completion of a final practical and/or written assessment
  • Submission of an operational improvement plan or project
  • Demonstrated technical and safety proficiency

Certificates may be co-issued with government water authorities, utilities, vocational training institutes, or international water associations.
