Introduction
Palliative care plays a crucial role in improving
the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS, particularly those with
advanced disease or complex symptoms. As HIV becomes a chronic condition for
many, and terminal for some, it is essential to integrate palliative care
principles into HIV management. This training empowers healthcare providers
with the knowledge, attitudes, and practical skills required to deliver
holistic and person-centered care—including pain relief, psychosocial support,
and end-of-life care.

By the end of this course, participants will be

- Successful
development and presentation of a case-based care plan
- Demonstrated
practical knowledge and skills through assessments or role-plays
- Completion
of a post-training evaluation or written test
Certificates may be issued in collaboration with
Ministries of Health, Palliative Care Associations, National HIV/AIDS Councils,
or Accredited Training Institutions.
